toots: um, i don’t know. a mazda3. what would you be?
burnaby: a globe.
toots: a globe? really? you’re as useless as soundwave!

it’s been a little over 3 weeks since i got hitched to the cutest man i know.
and because i know who reads this… i love you husband.
aren’t you proud that i finally blogged? =)
i had a lot of fun this weekend at disneyland. it was hot, but it was worth it.
my friends are awesome. =)
so i read an entry on inhabitat.com about electro-magnetic skyscrapers. pretty much, it is exactly what it sounds like. here’s info from the studio:
|
Fictional Prototype |
2006 |

In this futuristic scenario controlled Electro Magnetic force (E.M.) will be a key element in the building industry. This controlled E.M. force will free humanity from the need to waste our planet resources by making the E.M. technology the ultimate sustainable method. E.M. Structures will be able to support each other simply by pure physical magnetism that can also direct electricity. By using magnetic fields as a construction material there can be Infinite vertical and horizontal expansions due to the final liberation from gravity.
this idea is so very fictional, but imagine if it was real. what if some evil genius developed this huge-ass magnet contraption and made the buildings flip around and everyone inside would be spinning. and then they’d barf because the evil man would spin them faster. then when it stopped spinning, you’d have a lot of dizzy people with barf all over themselves. then what?
(yup, this is the first thing i thought of after i read about it. an evil genius making people puke inside of spinning buildings. who wouldn’t think of that? seriously.)
last year, i discovered the wonder that is red robin. whoever came up with the idea of bottomless fries is a genius. and whoever came up with the idea of red robin seasoning is my hero. i bought one thing-a-mah-jiggy of seasoning for myself and it is the most awesomest thing you can get for just $3. everything its label told me to put it on, i have put it on. i carry it wherever i go. it sits in my trusty messenger bag patiently waiting for its time to shine.
red robin seasoning is the best thing since sliced bread. in fact, it kicks bread’s ass, knocks the entire bread loaf down, cooks me a burger patty, shakes the seasoning on it, and presents me with a fine tasting burger for dinner.1
1 entirely true statement2
2 not entirely true statement, but the seasoning still kicks ass.
our new site is soooo web 2.0. if you know the URL, check it out. if you don’t, too bad. you’re not awesome enough. =P
we sent out the save-the-dates this past weekend, and we got our very first online RSVPs on our website! i’m so excited that it actually works and people are using it!
so if you’re one of my homies and you got one, don’t forget to RSVP online. salamat po.
our website registry is still being populated so that won’t be out til later. that’s another custom website dealio we made for ourselves so that our guests can take advantage of all the awesome stuff that is more readily available (and usually cheaper) on the information super-dee-duper highway. it’s a win-win sitch* for everyone. =)
overall, the wedding stuff is going well. i finally started looking for a dress. i’m pretty sure i know what i want. not saying anything else about it because burnaby can’t know what i’m getting. no peeky peekoo, mr wallace. =P also we be looking for florist/decoration/pretty stuff to prettify everything. we gots some ideas, so we’re getting therrre. and we’re going to the catering fair tomorrow to decide on the food. this is when we can taste all their food offerings. it’s buffet style so you get your grub on during this event. we went once before, but we’re doing it again because we kinda forgot what we liked. plus, it’s a great dinner. =) lots of different choices. appetizers, entrees, salads, and punch.

* sitch = situation for those who aren’t in the know and who aren’t a fillmore fan.
well i’m blogging for the first time in 2007. burnaby t wallace must be proud. so what’s been happening?
- we been doin the wedding thang. planning the big day. the website is going well. we should have the unveiling soon. it’s going to be “awe” to the “some”. nice!
- we have a macbook pro. nice! got the invisibleShield on it. so now we can try to scratch the surface with a key and it won’t make a mark. we have not tested this feature nor will anyone ever try it on our laptop unless you plan on buying us a new one, bee-otch.
- had a LAN party that was awesomely fun. and a wii night. nice!
- we developed pictures the old way… by playing with chemicals until our brains were fried and we got long-lasting headaches. nice!
- going to friarfest this weekend. they’ll have jerseys for sale there, so hopefully there’s a relatively affordable padres cooperstown jersey. the brown, yellow, and orange one. retro style, baby. nice!
- ate lots of sushi from a local restaurant. pretty cheap and oh-so-tasty. nice!
so there you go. a mini-update of 2007 from the one and only toots mcgee. nice!
Merry Christmas to all.
well if you’ve been wondering, here’s the answer: nothing much. just chilling mostly. working. but i did go on “holiday” in november with burnaby t wallace. we went to ‘zona. it was much fun and much coldness. much random animals walking out and about. many pictures taken. there were shooting stars too. those were the first ones i ever saw. it was legendary. =)so now it’s december. Christmas will be here in a little bit. burnaby and i have decorated our places with Christmas gear. we’ve been shopping for gifts (though we’re still not done yet) and listening to lots and lots of Christmas music. it’s awesome.
